Greece ~ Grécia

So, here I am back in southern Portugal again, after a 1-week vacation (sorry, work) at the Greek island of Rhodes! One of my main goals was going to the place were the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the seven wonders, once stood, but was kind of sad to know that, contrary to the popular belief, the Colossus was not at the entrance of the arbour, with one foot on each side, but most likely on land...
I was very amused because the Greeks thought I was Greek too! I've heard things such as "Oh, I thought you were Greek!" and "You look like a Greek woman!". I think it was probably due to my tanned olive skin and the fact that was not dressed like a tourist... It was fun!
Here are a few pics...

Ouvi coisas do tipo "Oh, I thought you were Gree!" e "You look like a Greek woman!".
Aqui ficam algumas fotos...

And the Swiss Alps, descending towards Geneva.

  2. Hi dear Rita,

    an official welcome back, even with some delay!
    As lately with all that is going on around here, there is little time to spend on line, most of the time is spent writing and posting, leaving actual commenting and connecting pending.

    Your pictures from Rhodes are wonderful and I must agree that you could easily be thought of as a Greek girl!

    Wishing you a lovely autumn ahead :)
    Going back to reading some more posts after saying hello here. I really like the ones about a minimal approach to life!

    Take care + be happy {and good for not letting any piece of furniture stress you! the blue couch looks fine with the white pillows after all ;)}

    xx, Iro
